Book Review: Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare

I was so excited to finally read the last book in the "The Infernal Devices'"series and I was not disappointed!

Cassandra Clare has written a fantastic finale book. I often feel let down by the last book in a series; sometimes they are anticlimatic, lack a fast paced plot, or just don't end the way I hoped.

The quality we expect from her is the same as her other novels and the plot moves along at a perfect pace. It was really cool to see all the characters fully develop especially Tris. Lots of questions were answered, which I find very satisfying- it's so annoying when a series ends and you are left wondering what happened!

Will was my favourite character in this book, I think, because I admired his strength in keeping his feelings toward Tessa hidden and staying strong for Jem. I like that he is such a mixture of right and wrong, cruel and kind and open but secretive at the same time. Complex characters that you can relate to have always been a seller for me ( think Tris in Divergent by Veronica Roth).

For a YA novel, this book dealt with some pretty strong themes: a love triangle, death, betrayal and trust issues. It's one of my favourite things about most YA books.

Overall, a great read and I can't wait for the next Cassandra Clare novel!

Weekly inspiration ~ 15- 19 April

Another busy week gone past! Hopefully next week slows down a little bit. :)
I had a fantastic time last night at an Aoraki LIANZA event in Rangiora. It was awesome to network with other librarians- I forgot how refreshing it is to meet people that have a similar mindset to you and that you don't have to explain every aspect of being a librarian to!

I've also been finding lots of great articles and ideas on Twitter this week- here are my top ones :)

1: 20 Ways Libraries Are Using Pinterest Right Now: Being a massive fan of Pinterest I thought this article had some really exciting ideas and ones that I can use for my personal account too :)

2: Re-reading my favourite books from high school. I've been feeling nostalgic lately and decided to re-read this fantasy series by David Eddings. I'm not a fan of fantasy anymore but I'm still devouring these books!

3: This Joy of Reading board on Pinterest: I love these quotes and pictures!

Weekly inspiration ~ 8-12 April

Another week has flown by, here are the two main things that have been inspiring and motivating  me this week.

1. Hootsuite: I've realised that I need something to keep me on top of all the social media things I handle like Facebook and Twitter. After a little bit of research I decided to sign up for Hootsuite and so far I'm loving it and it's scheduling function has made my life much easier :)

2. Scoop.it: This is another tool that I've utilised to help me sort through all the news and find articles I'm really excited about sharing via Twitter

Have a great weekend!
